CIT’s ecotoxicology department offers complete services in order to fulfil regulatory requirement or obtain screening data. Studies are designed according to international guidelines, including OECD, EC, OPPTS, ICH or Japanese guidelines.
The laboratory is fully equipped to deal with “difficult” substances (e.g. volatile, poorly water-soluble or unstable) and radiolabelled substances.
A direct link with the Analytical Chemistry Department allows determination of solubility, stability, homogeneity and/or adsorption of the test substance under the experimental conditions. Regular sampling during the test and specifically designed equipment (e.g. GC, GC/MS, LC, LC/MS-MS) permit high precision analysis of the test substance to validate the study results.
